  • Loudoun honey: Great uses for local raw honey to combat allergies. Posted January 17, 2013

    0

Here are some great uses for after you buy local raw honey and other local hive products:

    Local, Raw honey

Take one tablespoon of raw honey after each meal. Begin this regimen before the pollen season begins and repeat until the season ends.

    Bee pollen

In addition to the raw honey, buy some bee pollen. Bee pollen should be eaten raw, and is best scattered over cooked dishes or stirred into cereal. Alternately it works well in shakes, smoothies and yogurt.

    Comb honey

Another method some claim to have worked is mixing comb honey in Greek yogurt. Many believe that this can help with hay fever- probably for the same reasons that eating raw honey may help.
